The iNSight Transaction Switch (TxSwitch) is an advanced “switch” allowing for the seamless and secure communication between connected systems, such as the Customer, Merchant and Payment Processor.
It acts as a compatibility layer between businesses and service providers in order to provide access to new services or reach new customers by sharing information. It also acts as a security layer protecting the customer and merchant during transactions by encrypting sensitive information, such as account information, purchases, etc.
The TxSwitch allows you to build Events that orchestrate the interactions between the various parties and facilitate the payment transaction process. For example, you can build the USSD menu that displays to a customer and configures the transaction processed between the Customer, Service Provider and Mobile Money Platform.
An Event is made up of one or more Flow Items. Each flow item has a Worker attached, which is responsible for performing a specific task. The more complex the interaction between customers or systems, the more Event Flow Items are configured for an event.
Events and basic system performance can be monitored to ensure that all transactions are running optimally. You can also access historic data for any event. This information is useful in troubleshooting to identify where an event errored out and investigate older events to see if there are any trends.
